Parents’ Day is a special occasion that celebrates and honors the selfless commitment and unwavering love that parents show towards their children. This event is held every alternate year by St. Francis School (SFS) to recognize the profound influence parents have in shaping their children's lives, values, and future. It is a time for students, teachers, and the community to come together and show appreciation for the pivotal role parents play in the development of the next generation.

The purpose of Parents' Day is to honor and appreciate the dedication, sacrifices, and love that parents invest in raising their children. Parents are the first teachers and role models for their children, and this event serves to recognize the importance of their efforts in nurturing a positive family environment. The celebration encourages the development of a stronger, more respectful bond between parents and children. It also emphasizes the importance of positive and responsible parenting, which is essential in the overall growth and well-being of the child.

Promoting Positive Parenting

One of the central themes of Parents’ Day is promoting positive and responsible parenting. This involves encouraging parents to take an active role in their children’s emotional, social, and academic development. Through workshops, discussions, and presentations, the event aims to provide parents with useful tools, strategies, and insights into effective parenting practices.
