About The Event
SFS Guwahati celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2025, with great enthusiasm and awareness-building activities conducted in both the SFS Block and the Mermier Block assemblies.
The celebration began with a special morning assembly that included a prayer for the well-being of the planet, followed by thought-provoking speeches and presentations highlighting the theme of this year’s Environment Day — “Nurturing Nature, Fostering Brotherhood.”
Students presented meaningful skits, poems, and songs emphasizing the importance of conserving nature and adopting sustainable habits. Both assemblies witnessed vibrant participation from students and teachers, reflecting the school’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and green initiatives.
The Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, in his message, encouraged students to take small yet consistent steps towards protecting the environment and to be conscious citizens of the Earth. The event concluded with a pledge to safeguard nature and make everyday choices that nurture our planet.
Through this celebration, SFS Guwahati reaffirmed its vision of nurturing responsible global citizens who value and respect the environment.
