About The Event
SFS Guwahati conducted the prestigious event on 4th September 2023 in Mermier Hall to honour and recognize the exceptional efforts of our esteemed teachers in an eventful gathering graced by our Principal, Rev Fr. George Thomas, Vice Principals, Coordinators, Administrative Members, and esteemed staff members.
The gathering commenced by acknowledging the dedication and excellence of the teachers who showcased exceptional performance in the Desalite Teachers Olympiad held on 11th February 2023, for the academic session 2022-2023. The Vice Principals, Fr. Rijesh & Sr. Josna were invited to present the certificates and medals to the winners.The distinguished teachers were:

Next, the meeting recognized and felicitated teachers whose students achieved a perfect score of 100 marks in the Class X board examinations for the session 2022-2023. This was seen as a testament to the combined efforts of the students and their dedicated teachers. The Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, honoured the teachers and awarded the following cash prizes:
Shrutidhara Barua, Riju Chetry, and Victor Kr. Barman received a cash prize award of Rs. 1500 for guiding students to achieve 100 marks in the Science Subject.
Boby Mitra received a cash prize award of Rs. 1000 for guiding a student to secure 100 marks in the Assamese Subject.
Pallavi Das received a cash prize award of Rs. 2000 for guiding students to achieve 100 marks in the IT subject.
The meeting culminated with the highly anticipated Star Teacher's Award ceremony, an event designed to honour and acknowledge outstanding educators. Shilpi Hazarika and Kanika Sarma were selected for their exceptional dedication and contributions as Outstanding Educators. They were presented with the Star Teachers Award by our esteemed Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas.
In conclusion, the meeting was a heartfelt tribute to the hard work, dedication, and exceptional commitment of our teachers. Their invaluable efforts in shaping the minds and futures of our students were acknowledged and celebrated, leaving a resounding sense of appreciation and motivation within the school community.
