About The Event
The much-anticipated farewell ceremony for the Class XII batch of 2023-24 took place at Mermier Hall on the 22nd of December, 2023. The event was meticulously organized, adhering to a schedule that promised a mix of emotions, performances, and acknowledgments.
The ceremony commenced at 12:00 PM with a sense of unity and nostalgia as the soon-to-be graduates gathered for a group photo and attendance. The atmosphere turned soulful with a beautiful prayer song thereafter, setting the tone for an emotional yet celebratory occasion.
The stage then welcomed Prerana Sarma from Class XI INT 'Sci,' who delivered a heartfelt welcome speech, expressing gratitude and fond memories. Following this, the audience was treated to a mesmerizing classical dance performance, showcasing the artistic talent within the school.
Gift distribution became a moment of joy as the XII HUM A and HUM B classes received tokens of appreciation. The festive spirit continued with a group song and another round of gift distribution for the Commerce stream.
A dynamic fusion dance performance added vibrancy to the ceremony, captivating the audience with its energy and creativity. The spotlight then shifted to the XII Science class, receiving their farewell gifts.
The schedule also featured a skit presentation, adding a touch of entertainment and storytelling to the event. A specially curated video took everyone down memory lane, encapsulating the essence of the students' journey.
The much-awaited message from the Principal, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, was delivered thereafter. His words of wisdom and encouragement resonated with the graduating class, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
The ceremony included a momentous occasion with the declaration of the Head Boy and Head Girl for the upcoming session 2024-25, acknowledging their leadership and contributions to the school community. This was followed by a vote of thanks from Manas Pratim Thakuria and Bhargabi Medhi, the current Head Boy and Head Girl expressing gratitude to all who made the event possible.
The festivities concluded with a well-deserved lunch, providing an opportunity for the students and staff to share a final meal together.
