About The Event
The Desalite Fiesta 2025 was celebrated with exuberance and enthusiasm on October 28, 2025, at St. Francis De Sales School, Guwahati. The event brought together students from various SFS institutions and neighboring schools to participate in a range of inter-school competitions designed to nurture creativity, talent, and camaraderie among young learners.
The fiesta commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the registration of participants at Mermier Hall, followed by the initiation of the programme at 9:30 a.m. The event began on a graceful note with a prayer dance titled “Rhythm of Grace” presented by the students of SFS Guwahati. Rev. Fr. George Thomas, Principal SFS Guwahati, delivered the welcome address, setting an inspiring tone for the day. The dignitaries and judges were felicitated, after which Rev. Fr. Genes Shanpliang MSFS shared a heartfelt message, emphasizing the significance of holistic education and creative engagement in the lives of students.
Soon after the inauguration, a series of competitions began, including elocution, solo singing, solo dance, quiz, and drawing. Each event reflected the vibrant enthusiasm of the participants, who showcased exceptional talent, creativity, and confidence throughout their performances.
By 1:00 p.m., all competitions concluded, and the participants and guests gathered for lunch.The post-lunch session began with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, graced by Rev. Fr. Sabu Thomas, Provincial, Rev. Fr. George Thomas, Principal SFS Guwahati, Rev. Fr. Melvin Parambukattil, Vice Principal SFS Guwahati, who felicitated the winners and commended all participants for their outstanding efforts and sportsmanship. The champions of the Solo Singing and Solo Dance competitions added colour and vibrance to the afternoon with their delightful performances.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, followed by a group Photography Session at the SFS Block Assembly Ground, capturing the joyful spirit of togetherness and achievement.
