About The Event
On 11th June 2025, as part of the ongoing School Outreach initiative at SFS Guwahati, our students visited Helping Hands Old Age Home and Bhaba Devi Memorial Trust (SENEH) to personally deliver the essentials collected as part of the school’s Kindness Program. This initiative aims to instill values of empathy, compassion, and community service among students.
The visit was led by the Captains and Vice-Captains of Classes IX–XII, who coordinated the distribution of the donations contributed by students across the school. The items included daily necessities, groceries, and other essentials, which were carefully packed and handed over to the residents of these institutions.
During the interaction, students engaged warmly with the elderly, listening to their stories and spending time with them, bringing smiles and a sense of connection. The experience offered students a firsthand understanding of the importance of social responsibility, demonstrating that even small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on the lives of others.
This initiative not only benefitted the residents but also provided a valuable learning opportunity for the students. It reinforced the principles of empathy, respect, and selfless service, key aspects of holistic education at SFS Guwahati.
The School Outreach program continues to encourage our students to be thoughtful, responsible, and caring citizens, building a bridge of love and support between the school community and society at large.
